The Crimea Council of Ministers and Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council; parliament) in Simferopol, Ukraine, are seized, and the Russian national flag is waving atop the Supreme Council building.

It was informed that about thirty men, wearing black clothes and masks and armed with automatic weapons, stormed into the building on Thursday at 4am.

At present, there is alarm at Simferopol Police Department. The police are surrounding the parliament building, Navigator news agency reports citing sources from the Crimea Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Simferopol locals had gathered Wednesday. Some of them demanded their regional leaders not to recognize the new authorities in Ukrainian capital city Kyiv, whereas the other group favored the change in power. As a result, the two groups clashed, during which thirty people were injured.
