YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia ought to switch to a new work mode, opposition Heritage Party NA Faction Head Ruben Hakobyan stated at Friday’s NA briefings.

As per Hakobyan, the parliamentary sittings need to be held with three-day—instead of the current four-day—sessions. But, on the other hand, the NA sittings should be convened once a week, instead of the present-day format of once in every other two weeks.

“This mode is more rhythmic and it provides for a more substantive work. We were working like this since 1992, until 2004-05,” he added.

Ruben Hakobyan informed that the Heritage Faction will submit the respective bill for parliamentary discussion, and it expects its colleagues’ support in this matter.
