STEPANAKERT. – The statement which the Azerbaijan defense department disseminated on Wednesday, and to the effect that Junior Sergeant Kerem Nokhbalayev had died, allegedly, as a result of ceasefire violations by the Armenians, is not true.   

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ministry of Defense (NKR MOD) press service issued such a message. 

“The [NKR] Defense Army vanguard units adhere to the ceasefire agreement, and they resort to retaliatory actions solely in the case of extreme necessity,” the message reads.
