YEREVAN. – Former president Levon Ter-Petrosyan should participate in the debates on setting up an ad hoc committee on March 1 events, MP from Orinats Yerkir party Hovhannes Margaryan said.
He noted that Ter-Petrosyan was invited by previous ad hoc committee formed in June 2008, but he did not accept the invitation.
Gagik Jahangiryan, MP from opposition ANC, for the second time spoke for the initiative on ad hoc committee that had to hold thorough investigation unto March 1 events.
As a result of clashes between authorities and opposition, 8 demonstrators and 2 law enforcers were killed on March 1, 2008. No one has been held accountable for their deaths.
