YEREVAN. – There seems to be no country in the world that will support Russia's position on Ukraine at the moment, head of Accord center Davit Shahnazaryan told reporters.
As to Armenian authorities' position on Ukrainian crisis, Shahnazaryan believes they are under pressure of Russia. Shahnazaryan expressed hope that Armenia's leadership will be able to continue its current policy of neutrality.
In turn, director of Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan noted that Armenia's attitude is extremely right.
“Ukraine is home to 100,000 Armenians. Ukraine is an important country for Armenia in political and economic terms. At the moment Yerevan must wait and be silent as the entire world does, except for states directly interested in the developments,” analyst added.
Armenia must have favorable relations with Ukraine whether the country is pro-Russian, pro-western of pro-European, Iskandaryan resumed.
