YEREVAN. – Since the beginning of 2014  Armenia has exported 7,500 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan said during a media conference on Wednesday.

This indicator is more than three times higher than in the same period last year. Despite the early months of the year, not only vegetables, but fruits have been exported.

Makaryan recalled that in 2013 Armenia exported 64,500 fresh fruits and vegetables, two times increase in volume as compared with 2012.

Besides, the Ministry is working with exporters to conclude preliminary contracts for the purchase of crops from farmers.
