YEREVAN. – The toys that are sold in Armenia must have Armenian-language labeling, state the technical regulations which the Government approved in Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.
Pursuant to these regulations, when entering the toy market, the manufacturer must have appropriate documents.
In the case of risks, the manufacturer must register consumer complaints, recall poor-quality toys, and inform the suppliers about the results of his observations.
There must be identification data and the manufacturer’s data on the toy, or its box. The toy’s instructions must include information on its safe use.
The technical regulations, however, do not apply to a variety of sports equipment, and models of collections and scale models.
