YEREVAN. – The West has limited options in Ukraine, Turkish expert Hasan Selim Ozertem told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to Ozertem, who is a researcher at the Center for Energy Security Studies of the International Strategic Research Organization, Russia delivers the message that Crimea is red-line for its national interests.

"The military drill, Russian troops at Crimea, and firing a Topol-M missile were to show Russian decisiveness. I suppose it is a big test for the West to deal with Kremlin without any tangible tools to use," he noted.

Nevertheless, the expert emphasized, Russia's steps in Ukraine are to ignore the sovereignty and territorial integrity principles.
