YEREVAN. – Armenia's first president and opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan never wanted bloodshed and Maidan, member of Armenian National Congress Zoya Tadevosyan told reporters.
Tadevosyan is confident Ter-Petrosyan, whom she calls “a brilliant scientist and politician”, never wanted blood. The proof is his calm leaving politics back in 1998 and the recent speech made during the March 1 rally when he said political changes must be made without bloodshed.
Former MP from Prosperous Armenia Vardan Bostanjyan shared her opinion, adding that Ter-Petrosyan would not like to see any man to be threatened.
Speaking about possible economic consequences of Ukrainian events, he noted that direct influence cannot be expected now.
“We can speak about consequences if the crisis continues,” he added.
