YEREVAN. – Serbia supports the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ efforts in connection with the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkić, who is paying an official visit to Armenia, noted the aforementioned during Monday’s joint news conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian.
“We fully support the Madrid Principles,” the Serbia FM added.
For his part, Nalbandian noted that, during the two FMs’ meeting that preceded the news conference, the parties shared the view that the conflict must be resolved solely through pacific means, and based on the provisions and precepts that are proposed by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
In response to a query as to whether or not the developments in Ukraine are discussed within the OSCE framework, Armenia’s FM stated that numerous matters are discussed along the lines of the OSCE, and once OSCE discussions are held on Ukraine, this can be talked about at that time.
