YEREVAN. – What is happening in Crimea is not about Crimea or even Ukraine, this is the issue of Russia, head of Accord center Davit Shahnazaryan said.

Shahnazaryan labeled Crimea events as “occupation and aggression”.

“Once Crimea becomes a part of Russia, a mechanism of destruction of Vladimir Putin's regime will come into force,” he said.

He believes Maidan and Ukraine forced West to change their policy towards Russia. The European states have no common position on Ukraine, but it will appear.

“Challenges presented by Russia will turn European family into a Euro-Atlantic family. Russia's policy on Ukraine is a serious threat to common European security,” he added.
