YEREVAN. – Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan is in Yerevan, and he will leave for Moscow on Thursday, Kocharyan’s office manager Victor Soghomonyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Soghomonyan noted that the second president is going to the Russian capital city to participate in the meeting of the Sistema Company Board of Directors, which he is a member of, but no meeting is planned with Russia President Vladimir Putin.   

As to when Kocharyan will return, Soghomonyan responded: “Next week, but not from Moscow.” He plans to head from the Russian capital city for another country, where he will return from to Armenia.       

But since the visit is private, Victor Soghomonyan did not give any details.

As reported earlier, Hraparak daily had learned that Robert Kocharyan will not travel either on Wednesday or Thursday to Moscow, to participate in the meeting of the Sistema Company, but he is there for already a week.    

“And he is trying to meet with Vladimir Putin to make arrangements on several matters, specifically, to figure out whether or not they still expect from him to bring ‘masses’ out to the street [in Armenia]. 

“According to some information, whether or not [non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman and oligarch] Gagik Tsarukyan and [opposition Armenian National Congress leader and First President] Levon Ter-Petrosyan will meet likewise depends on the fact and result of the Putin-Kocharyan meeting,” Hraparak wrote.
