The official presentation of the concept for the Ukraine National Guard will be held Thursday at the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council; parliament).

Arsen Avakov, Interim Internal Affairs Minister of Ukraine, informed the above-said on his Facebook account.

“According to the plan that is prepared, we will commence the mobilization of the Ukrainian National Guard. In a short period of time, 20,000 Ukrainians will be able to complement the National Guard special reserve,” Avakov stated.

In the minister’s words, a total of 50,000 people expressed a wish to be drafted in the military commissariats of the country.

“As a response to the attempt to destabilize the country from the outside, the creation of the National Guard is very important for the country today. This is not solely a mobilizing of people, but of the spirit,” Arsen Avakov stressed.
