The Crimean-Armenian Community National Council adopted a resolution.
According to the resolution, a call is made for participating in Sunday’s referendum, and voting in favor of the peninsula joining Russia.
Crimean-Armenian Community Chairman Vagharshak Melkonyan told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As per Melkonyan, it is already declared that the Constitution of Crimea will guarantee the Crimean Tatars’ 20-percent quota in the governing bodies of the peninsula.
“We Armenians, Bulgarians, Greeks and Germans have united under one association, and we demand that they be guided by the same principles also with respect to us, if the said principle is applied for the Crimean Tatars,” he noted.
Vagharshak Melkonyan added that an organizing committee on the setting up of a monument in Crimea, and devoted to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, was formed during the National Council meeting.
