YEREVAN. – There have been no internal political developments in Armenia since September 2013 when the decision on joining Customs Union was made, former MP Azat Arshakyan said.

He noted  that Armenia's political forces are simply carrying out the orders from Russia.

“If they say someone must play a role of opposition, they do,” Arshakyan emphasized.

Former MP described internal policy processes as “a theater performance”. Arshakyan believes the opposition political forces are simply defeated political parties with defeated leaders.

Following the talks that were held on September 3, 2013 in Moscow between Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin, Sargsyan had announced that Armenia plans to join the Customs Union and subsequently engage in the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
