YEREVAN. – The attention is focused on the cooperation among Armenia’s four non-ruling-coalition National Assembly (NA) forces. And although the authorities are loyally responding to that cooperation, they are attempting to interfere with the process.

As per Hakobyan, the authorities are well aware that the cooperation among the four non-ruling-coalition parliamentary forces—the Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage—will result in a change in power in the country.

“If the government [i.e. the Republican Party (RPA)] has the political will, it may join us, become the fifth political force, and save the country.       

“We, the four political forces, want to form a single agenda and pull the country out of the crisis through compromise. No political force can single-handedly change the situation in the country.

“If other forces do not present an alternative to the current government, the change in power will become an end unto itself,” Ruben Hakobyan noted, in particular.
