YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador Armen Sargsyan (diplomatic residence in Beijing, China) on Thursday presented his credentials to President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj of Mongolia.

Elbegdorj wished success to Armenia’s first-ever ambassador to Mongolia, and expressed a conviction that the diplomat will give new impulse to friendly relations between the two countries, informed the Armenia MFA press service.

The president also noted that Mongolia likewise plans to accredit an ambassador to Armenia in a foreseeable future.
Subsequently, the Armenia ambassador and the Mongolia president exchanged views o the avenues for promoting bilateral cooperation.

Speaking on the need to restore cultural ties, Ambassador Sargsyan stressed that the Mongolians who had received education in Armenia’s institutions of higher education can contribute in this regard.
