At his meetings with Azerbaijani diplomats in Baku, Bogdan Aurescu, Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs in the MFA of Romania, built his words in a way that he would not touch upon Armenia.

In Baku, Aurescu held political consultations with Azerbaijan Deputy FMs Araz Azimov and Khalaf Khalafov, Economica.net reported.

The parties noted the need to settle the frozen conflicts, and exchanged views on regional security.

In the context of the ongoing developments in Ukraine, the Romanian secretary of state spoke on the prospect for a new regional conflict, which will complement the existing conflicts in Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Transnistria, and Nagorno-Karabakh. But Bogdan Aurescu did not speak negatively about Armenia.
