YEREVAN. – Solely two of Armenia’s four non-ruling-coalition National Assembly forces will continue the cooperation.
Opposition Armenian National Congress supporter, former MP Gurgen Yegiazaryan stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Saturday.

“I welcome the meetings of these four. Naturally, I would not want [for Armenia] to go on the road of [Ukraine’s] EuroMaidan because this will be destructive for little Armenia. But solely two [political] parties will remain,” he said.

Yeghiazaryan expressed a conviction that the authorities are working with the other two parties. 

In turn, ruling Republican Party ex-MP Lernik Aleksanyan likewise gave a positive evaluation to the cooperation between the aforesaid four forces.

“The meetings will clarify the blurriness of the opposition. In this sense, this union is positive; this is a progress for our political developments,” Aleksanyan stressed.       

In addition, the speakers commented on the four non-ruling-coalition parliamentary forces’ decision to table a joint no-confidence motion to the government.    

To Lernik Aleksanyan’s remarks that PM Tigran Sargsyan works with “programs,” Gurgen Yegiazaryan retorted: “It’s better that he does not have a program, but works well.”
