YEREVAN. – The political future of Armenia is destroyed due to being uninformed, bowing down to foreigners, and the authorities’ being bought.

Opposition National Self-Determination Union (NSU) Chairman, ex-presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan stated the above-said at a press conference on Saturday.

Hayrikyan called Armenia’s Russia-led Customs Union accession supporters “the concubines of Russia” and “the slaves of the Russian KGB.” In his words, the Customs Union should be viewed within the framework of the Russian chauvinism protests.

“Armenia’s current situation is a result of the authorities’ being uninformed, targeted traitorous policy which they conduct for twenty years,” the ex-presidential candidate noted.

According to Hayrikyan, he and the NSU are fighting for the Armenian people’s right to self-determination for more than twenty years.

“The Armenian people have their own Nelson Mandela,” Paruyr Hayrikyan stated adding that he represents that segment of Armenia’s population which has ‘not gone blind’ once and for all.
