State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA)—also known as the Polytechnic—Rector Ara Avetisyan submitted his resignation, informed the Armenian News-NEWS.am sources at SEUA.  

The University Governing Board will convene a session on Monday, during which Avetisyan’s letter of resignation will be submitted.  

Our sources also informed that the rector’s petition for resignation is due to the recent inspection which the Audit Committee conducted at the university, and the inspection had revealed several non-target expenditures.   

Education and Science Ministry Information and Public Relations Department Head Artur Baghdasaryan, however, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that there is no order so far on Ara Avetisyan’s removal from office.
