YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to Jordan Arshak Poladyan, whose diplomatic residence is in Syria, paid a visit to Jordanian capital city Amman to discuss the avenues for the development of Armenian-Jordanian cooperation.
The ambassador held talks with numerous senior officials and several department heads of the MFA of Jordan, informed the Armenia MFA press service.
They conferred on the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in numerous domains, and regional and international matters.
In terms of invigorating economic collaboration, the parties underscored the need to launch direct flights between Armenia and Jordan, hold business forums, and participate in the exhibitions being held in both countries.
Agreements were reached on the strengthening of political discourse, conducting of high-level mutual visits, setting up of an intergovernmental committee, holding of the next phase in the consultations between the MFAs of the two countries, and revitalizing of cultural ties.
Ambassador Poladyan also visited the Armenian Diocese of Jordan to discuss Armenia-Diaspora ties, and the activities by the Armenian Genocide 100th Anniversary Committee.
