YEREVAN. – Armenian Transport Minister Gagik Beglaryan on Wednesday received Iraq's Ambassador Gazi Tahir Khaled.

During the meeting, Minister noted importance of cooperation in the fields of transport and communication, the ministry said in a statement.

The sides discussed possibilities of establishing transport communication between Iraq and Armenia.

Beglaryan  invited his Iraqi counterpart to visit Armenia in order to study possibility of creation of direct highway communication.

Ambassador thanked for an invitation, noting there are prerequisites for development of bilateral cooperation.
