Ruling Republican Party (RPA) MP Gagik Minasyan, who is also Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, told the aforementioned at a press conference on Monday.
As per Minasyan, the normal process assumes that a no-confidence motion against the executive branch of power should be tabled during the said budget discussions.
“I’m more than sure that our opposition and alternative political forces [at the NA] will make use of this very opportunity.
“They certainly will not raise this matter two days before the government’s presentation of a report on the budget,” the RPA MP noted.
As reported earlier, the four non-ruling-coalition parliamentary forces—i.e., the Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage—have started collecting signatures to include the aforesaid motion—and as a special hearing—on the agenda of the four-day NA session which will get underway on 28 April.
