Armenia’s 4 non-coalition parliamentary forces introduce motion to set up new ad

YEREVAN. – The four non-ruling-coalition forces of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) submitted a special legislative initiative. 

The aforesaid NA factions—i.e., the Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage—have tabled a motion of setting up an ad hoc committee to study capital city Yerevan Municipality’s charging—between 2012 and 2013—of additional payments and fines to the people and economic entities.

The aforesaid committee will consider the merits and consequences of increasing the tax burden by way of the speed camera fines, paid parking payments, disused car fees, and other concealed measures.
