YEREVAN. – Armenian PM’s resignation was an expected move, MP Khachatur Kokobelyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“The resignation is explained by political processes in the country, as well as Constitutional Court’s ruling on pension law. The government’s resignation was inevitable, since the Cabinet failed to solve the problems of improving living standards of the citizens as well as migration,” he said.
Kokobelyan is confident that Armenia needs qualitatively new government that would be capable of solving serious problems the country is faced with.
Earlier today after a meeting of the Executive Body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, party’s spokesperson and Parliament deputy speaker announced the resignation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
