Russia's Foreign Ministry is not inclined to comparing the situation over Nagorno-Karabakh and Crimea, Deputy Minister said.

“I would not draw direct parallels between Crimea events and situation in Transnistria and Nagorno-Karabakh,” Vaslily Nebenzya said in an interview with Interfax.

He noted that the OSCE Minsk Group, the Co-Chairs from Russia, France and U.S.,  are dealing with the Karabakh and working to promote direct dialogue between Armenians and Azerbaijanis.

“There has been recently a session of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers, and foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan met on the sidelines. Not so long ago the meeting of two leaders took place. There is “5+2” format for settlement in Transnistria.  The work in these areas continues,” Nebenzya added.
