YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party Supreme Assembly, which is convened once in every two years, will get underway on Friday, ARF Supreme Body member Arsen Hambardzumyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

But the time and location of the meeting is kept secret, and reporters will be unable to attend this event.

ARF National Assembly Faction Secretary Aghvan Vardanyan likewise said nothing about the location and time of the assembly, but noted that a press conference will be held and a statement will be issued following the event.

As reported earlier, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Body assembly will formally make a decision by Friday on the party’s position, Zhoghovurd daily had reported.

“The party already has given its consent to take part in the [next] coalition [government] getting two ministerial positions, nominating [ex-minister] Levon Mkrtchyan and [MP] Artsvik Minasyan.

“But there are disagreements among the ARF ranks in this respect, since some Dashnaktsutyun members wish to see [ex-minister] Davit Lokyan in a ministerial chair.

“But, still, it is not clarified as to which ministries they are preparing to give to ARF,” Zhoghovurd had written.
