YEREVAN. – Politicians are joining political parties to get a seat and then withdraw from party to preserve the seat, leader of Communist party said.

Tachat Sargsyan's comments came as three ministers Armen Yeritsyan, Sergo Karapetyan and Samvel Tadevosyan resigned as Orinats Yerkir party members.

“They betrayed their ideology to become members of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia or any other party,” he told reporters on Saturday.

Orinats Yerkir party decided to withdraw from ruling coalition because of lack of influence on political decisions. The ministers resigned as party members hoping to preserve their seats in the new Cabinet. Armen Yeritsyan was re-appointed as Minister of Emergency Situations.
