YEREVAN. – Armenia's European integration burst like a balloon in the favor of  people, leader of Armenia's Communist party Tachat Sargsyan told reporters.

“I am surprised to see that some people are trying describe joining Customs Union as loss of Armenia's sovereignty. I assure you, we will have more might,” he noted.

Sargsyan is convinced that in terms of Karabakh, by joining Customs Union, Armenia will strengthen protection of its borders. He believes that Customs Union will open up new opportunities, and Armenia's former economic ties will be resumed.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan announced Armenia's intention to join Customs Union during his talks in Moscow on September 3.
