STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Friday met with a US congressional delegation, led by Chairman Ed Royce of the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs.
The talk was held at the NKR Permanent Representation to Armenia, in capital city Yerevan.
Settlement of the Karabakh-Azerbaijan conflict and regional processes were discussed at the meeting, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.
Both sides highlighted the need for a peaceful resolution of the conflict, and within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
President Sahakyan noted that official Stepanakert attaches importance to the development of relations with the US, and considers it a friendly country and home to millions of Armenians.
NKR Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan, a group of Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) members—led by ANCA Chairman Ken Hachikian—, and several other officials also attended the talk.
