YEREVAN. – Over 90 years there was complete silence on the Armenian Genocide events in Turkey, representative of Dur De organization said. Therefore, distrust of certain Turkish NGOs is understandable.

Levent Sensever admits it is hard to convince even the most progressive civil society representatives to recognize Armenian Genocide.

“We, a group that recognizes Armenian Genocide, continue to be minority in Turkish society. Our cooperation with Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora organizations began only in the past 2-3 years, but it is developing gradually,” he told reporters in Yerevan.

He also stressed that, despite recent statements, the Kurds  still do not have a clear position on the Armenian Genocide.
