YEREVAN. –  Armenia's ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) nominated Galust Sahakyan as a president of the National Assembly. The decision was made during RPA meeting on Saturday.

Former president Hovik Abrahamyan has been appointed Prime Minister following Tigran Sargsyan's decision to resign.

RPA has majority in the parliament, and Galust Sahakyan is expected to be elected during the next four-day session.
