YEREVAN. – Armenian parliamentary majority approved draft amendments to the decision to form an interim counting commission.

The Republican Party of Armenia voted for amendments.

The representatives of other factions, in particular Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, ANC  and Heritage, did not participate in the vote calling it “farce”.
 
Members of Orinats Yerkir party were absent from the special session of parliament.

The amendments provide for increase in number of seats for ruling Republican Party of Armenia (7 seats). Prosperous Armenia faction has two seats, and other factions have one seat each.
