YEREVAN. – During informal conversations, some non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) members say that the cooperation between the four non-ruling National Assembly (NA) factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) is already in the backburner for PAP, Zhamanak daily reported.

“And, their impression, PAP will collaborate from a distance with the [newly formed] government of [newly appointed PM] Hovik Abrahamyan.

“But the peril of wrecking the reputation of the opposition-uniting PAP appears here.

“Since the government program will be submitted to the NA approval and it will be a continuation of the previous government’s program, a test awaits PAP.

“Zhamanak has learned that the scenario of [newly elected NA Speaker] Galust Sahakyan’s voting [to this post] will be repeated, when the PAP [MPs] were permitted to vote freely.

“But if no substantial and fundamental change is made in the government’s program, it will turn out that the PAP [MPs] will vote in favor of the virtually same program which they were criticizing [in the past],” Zhamanak reported.
