An online signature campaign was launched demanding fair investigation into murder case of an Armenian serviceman Sevag Sahin killed on April 24 by fellow soldier in the Turkish army.

The petition initiated on Change.org by Nildal Ozanyan is entitled “We demand justice for Sevag”.

The petition mentions that the family of Sevag described the crime as continuation of genocide. 

On April 24, 2011, in one of the units of the Turkish Armed Forces a soldier was killed - ethnic Armenian Sevag Sahin Balikci. The family of a dead soldier demanded a comprehensive and detailed investigation of the case and turned to the lawyers who need to learn the results of the autopsy.

The army officials of Turkey claimed that the killing was unintended: the colleague killed him as a result of careless handling of weapons.
