YEREVAN. – If the four non-ruling National Assembly (NA) factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) boycott the NA voting on the government program, this will be a “message” to the public and the authorities.

Political scientist Yervand Bozoyan told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The [parliamentary] four should reach an initial decision as to how it will vote on the new program of the government.
“The four poses no threat to the authorities separately; that’s why they should work and express a position together. And boycotting, not participating [in the NA voting] will be the right united decision.

“If a [government] program is introduced that will repeat [ex-PM] Tigran Sargsyan’s program, the [parliamentary] four should express a very tough position; that’s why it must be clearly stated that it is boycotting.

“The authorities are precautious when they sense the breath of the opposition. The society must pressure so that the four work together,” Bozoyan specifically noted.
