YEREVAN. – Armenia regards economic problems and ensuring security as basis for its accession to Customs Union and Eurasian Union. However, , MP from ruling party said.

Artak Zakaryan said while Armenia's interests are protected, country's expectations are justified, and Armenia is interested in joining and full participation in the structures.

“Nevertheless , if there is any situation contrary to the interests of Armenia, of course, another decision can be made. This is my personal belief,” said Zakaryan, chairman of standing committee on foreign affairs.

The MP stressed that Armenia joins the economic union. From the political viewpoint Armenia does not see any possibility of limiting its own sovereignty. Armenia as a subject of international law and an independent state will continue to build  relationship as it did until now, he added.

There is a stable interest in joining Customs Union, namely secure, long-term and dynamic development.
