YEREVAN. – The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations National Seismic Protection Service released information on Thursday at 12:44pm.

Accordingly, a 3.8-magnitude earthquake occurred 22 km west of Ahar, Iran, at 12:30pm local time.

The tremor measured magnitude 5-6 at the epicenter, and its hypocenter was 10 km beneath the surface.

The seismic activity was felt in Armenia, too, specifically, in Meghri and Kapan cities, where it measured magnitude 2-3.
