STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire, on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, around 400 times from May 4 to May 10.
During this time, more than 3,000 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian positions, and by way of different-caliber rifle weaponry, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army reported.
Intense breaches of the truce were recorded especially before and during the May 9 celebrations, during which the adversary violated the ceasefire 200 times by firing 1,700 shots, the NKR MOD press service informed.
The Defense Army vanguard units, however, took preventive actions to suppress the adversary’s “activeness,” and they continued to maintain a full control over the entire Line of Contact.
