YEREVAN. – France's investments in Armenia exceeded $1 billion over six years, President Serzh Sargsyan said during the opening of Armenia-France business forum in Yerevan on Monday.
President Sargsyan recalled that over 20 companies with French capital, including Pernod Ricard, Orange Armenia, Bureau Veritas, ACBA Credit Agricole Bank, are working in Armenia. Overall, Armenia has about 180 companies with French capital.
“We consider it very important to develop economic cooperation to further bring it to the level of political dialogue,” President said.
Trade turnover between Armenia and France in 2013 amounted to approximately $81.9 million, of which exports from Armenia is estimated at about $ 6.57 million.
