YEREVAN. – Armenia National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov on Tuesday received, Canan Atilgan, Regional Head of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung/Foundation, and he highly appreciated the foundation’s activities.

The NA vice chair also assured that Armenia’s decision to join the Russia-led Customs Union does not reduce the chances of Armenia’s dialogue with the European Union (EU) and collaboration with the European organizations. Furthermore, as per Sharmazanov, Armenia is determined to develop its political discourse with EU.

For her part, Atilgan noted that they stand ready to continue to assist in Armenia’s democratic reforms and European integration.

The interlocutors discussed the avenues for cooperation between the Armenian parliament and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung/Foundation.

At the guest’s request, the Armenian National Assembly deputy speaker also presented his views on regional security, Armenia’s domestic politics, and the program of the country’s new government.
