make preferableYEREVAN. – An Armenia MOD delegation, led by Defense Policy Department Head Levon Ayvazyan, was in Potsdam, Germany, on Monday and Tuesday.
The delegation participated in the military and political planning conference of the countries that provide military forces to the Northern Command of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission.
During the conference, the Armenian party reaffirmed to Germany, which is the commanding country of the ISAF Northern Command, its commitment to participate in the “Decisive Support” mission, the MOD press service informed.
Within the framework of the conference, Ayvazyan and Rear Admiral Thomas Jugel, who is Head of the Strategy and Operations Department at the Federal Ministry of Defence of Germany, signed an interdepartmental technical agreement on the redeployment of an Armenian peacekeeping unit to the Camp Qasaba military unit in Afghanistan’s capital city Kabul.
