French businessman speaks on Armenia’s CU accession process – newspaper

YEREVAN. – A French businessmen’s delegation was accompanying France President François Hollande during his first state visit to Armenia, 168 Zham daily reported.

“Among them [the businessmen] was Luc Doublet, Chairman of the Founding Board of the well-known Doublet international group of France.

“To our reporter’s query as to, ‘How do you assess Armenia’s accession [process] in the [Russia-led] Customs Union [CU] and what are Armenia’s prospects in this respect?’ Double responded:

‘“Since I am European, I believe all borders should be open and all opportunities should be made use of. Before making any move, however, you need to clearly think it through so it would be sensible.

‘“Nonetheless, the more open roads there are, that much better for the state,’” 168 Zham wrote.
