YEREVAN. – The six points, which OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair James Warlick has presented, are diplomatic formulations that justify our achievements and, with this statement, the West specifies that it will not permit anyone to breach this status. 

Former Armenia Supreme Council (Parliament) ex-deputy, former political prisoner Azat Arshakyan stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Monday.

Arshakyan also recalled that the G7 countries’ statement, according to which the status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict cannot be changed by the use of force.

“The world defends the status we have achieved. We have done a righteous job. The Armenian people’s safety in Azerbaijan is not guaranteed; no one wants a new genocide. It means the world defends us, [and] therefore we need to demand,” Arshakyan concluded.   

As reported earlier, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair James Warlick delivered a speech at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on May 7, during which he presented the six key elements for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
