YEREVAN. – Around 300,000 people left Armenia during Tigran Sargsyan's tenure, MP from opposition Armenian National Congress said.

Stepan Demirchyan wonders who would bear responsibility for the grave mistakes of the former Cabinet.

“The government said they are on a positive track, but we can hardly be convinced as we see the opposite. People sunk in corruption get government jobs, the poverty rate is growing,” he said during the parliamentary hearings on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the new Cabinet is cautious in their forecasts. The former government planned to create 100,000 new jobs, while the new program contains no assessment, he emphasized.

“We think other indicators – plans to reduce poverty rate by 10 percent and increase minimum wages to AMD 65,000 – are not enough,” he said.
