YEREVAN. – Poland's Ambassador to Armenia Zdzisław Raczyński said the goal of Eastern Partnership project is reforms and transformation of the member states in the modern democratic world.

Speaking at the event dedicated to 10th anniversary of EU enlargement,  Raczyński said Poland has become a serious political actor in the European Union.

“We can mark the first decade in EU being a strong and influential country knowing how to implement its interests at the same time acting in the direction of European integration for entire Europe. Poland has an image of predictable and responsible country,” Raczyński said.

Even amid global crisis, 86 percent of Poland's population support joining EU, he emphasized.

The diplomat is convinced that results of Poland's transformation give the rights to wish similar changes to the eastern neighbors.

“Our experience is convincing that these countries will become strong if they pass through the same process of reconstruction,” he added.
