YEREVAN. – Employees of Nairit chemical plant will receive one-month wages, the Energy Ministry told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The leadership of the plant did not pay salary for over 15 months. The employees staged numerous protest actions that did not yield results.
Nairit was the only plant producing chloroprene rubber in the territory of the former Soviet Union. The representatives of Rosneft, Pirelli Tyre Russia and Rosneft Armenia companies signed a number of agreements on expanding cooperation, including a memorandum of understanding on setting up a joint venture on production of styrene-butadiene rubber.
