STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire, on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, around 1,000 times from May 25 to 31.

During this time, more than 10,000 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian positions, and by way of different-caliber rifle weaponry, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army reported.

The MOD press service informed that, aside from the aforementioned ceasefire violations, the adversary also launched, in the early morning hours on Wednesday, a subversive intelligence infiltration attempt in the southerly direction of the Line of Contact.

But the advance of the adversary’s special squads was stopped and they were driven back to their starting positions.

According to preliminary data, the Azerbaijani side had at least two dead and one injured.

The Defense Army suffered one loss while confronting the Azerbaijani militants.
