YEREVAN. – Armenia's priority task is to restore industry potential of the country, chairman of he Progressive United Communist Party said.

Vazgen Safaryan is confident that the best condition for doing so is joining Eurasian Economic Union. He described communist party as “responsible opposition”.

“They are responsible for country's future and past. During the Soviet era, we were exporting finished products, now we are exporting raw material to the European Union,” Safaryan noted.

The Communist party of Armenia and the Progressive United Communist Party of Armenia formed a common political consultative council.
